Description
Salmon in the Trees: Life in Alaska's Tongass Rain Forest By Amy Gulick Sweeping
out across 17-million acres of Southern Alaska, the Tongass is the
largest national forest in the United States. The land is rich in
unspoiled wildlife, forests and natural resources. And as you may
imagine, the issues around preservation and exploitation are
complicated, with implications for both the local people as well as
Americans living elsewhere. Come share in author Amy Gulick's deep
knowledge and passion for a place few of us will have the opportunity
to visit. The presentation begins at 7:00 p.m.
